Will need to see where future films take him but can see him rising in this list. All sales are final with no implied warranties Robert Pattison - really liked it but his Bruce Wayne is undercooked. George Clooney - just didn't work for me.Ĭhristian Bale - brought a great realism to the role but didn't get to show the detective side of the character.īen Affleck - aside from the warehouse scene, I just didn't care for the characterisation of Batman (not his fault) and he didn't really get a chance to shine. Val Kilmer - good actor but I just didn't care for his film and he did seem a little bored. I like Michael Keaton - part nostalgia, but there is this subtleness he brings to Bruce Wayne that shows he is deeply rooted in trauma. Also, I prefer Batman with the 'no kill' policy. I also don't think Batman has been nailed quite right yet, except for Kevin Conroy's Batman Animated Adventures. Adam West was great but stands out now as the odd one out since Batman has been interpreted more gothic-noir since the 70s. I just feel each is reflective of their time. I like the idea of this thread, however I find it so hard to rank Batmen for some reason. ![]()
